In your brand guide, you’ll want to establish fonts, color palettes, and various logos. For Explore McAllen’s brand guide, we focused on their logo. We broke down the hex codes for color palettes and established which fonts to use. This was shared through videos, their website, business cards, and any print associated with them.
Keep People Interested
People love routines, so when we started out with Explore McAllen, we learned that posting consistently assisted with visibility, strengthening their brand, and building their follower base. Before people follow a brand on social media, they’ll first want to see what the page is about. They’ll creep onto your page and like a couple of things, then eventually with enough content, they will become followers.
For Explore McAllen, we had to report on city-related stories, meaning that, while we were at press conferences for city-related events and news, so were media outlets, city officials, etc. Who was going to break important news or showcase specific locations first like the Chadwick Boseman mural?
